How to do more things

Why do we all have the same amount of time, but some seem to have more?

What does means to do more? Can I do more things with the same amount of time? More means doing more with your time to achieve your goals, and yes, you can.

I have been unemployed since last month, and since that day, I thought: “Now I will spend all these hours available on my side projects, and I will do this and that” Guess what? I haven’t done a lot more I have been doing no more than when I was working in a 9 to 5 (I am probably exaggerating a bit).

And this is how I learned the first lesson:

You don’t need more time. You need to get organized.

Your time is limited and you have to fix a few things to get the best of it.

What do we need to make the most of our time?

It is not an easy question, but I will try to leave some recommendations based on some articles and the strategy I am currently following.

You have to be at your 100%

If you want to do more you have to be present, awake, and hungry.

What do you mean by that?

You have to pay attention to the small things rather than the large things.

Are you doing things for you first?

If you want to change the world, start with yourself.

  • Are you sleeping well?
  • Are you eating well?
  • Are you doing exercise?

Remember, you have to be at your 100% to do the 100%.

Make time to plan

Planning your day the night before has a lot of benefits and could potentially improve your productivity.

If you have problems with your sleep when you plan out the next day in the evening, you set yourself up for deeper relaxation and better sleep.

Planning your day the night can help you to think more rationally about what you’ll need to do.

Keep in mind that day planning might also not be the right workflow for you to begin with.

Remove distractions

You know what I mean.

  • Social media
  • Smartphone
  • TV
  • Etc.

You’ll be increasing your productivity step by step, but don’t worry.

Tomorrow is another day with great potential and opportunity.

Final thoughts

It’s not easy to change bad habits, but if you don’t change them you can’t do more.

If you want different results, do not do the same things.
