The habit triad

What Truly Drives Your Day?

--

According to the Pareto Principle, 80% of your results come from just 20% of your efforts. This concept invites a compelling question: What is that 20% in your daily life?

For me, it boils down to three fundamental habits:

Getting quality sleep

Exercising regularly

Eating well by sticking to a balanced diet

You might be wondering: What about everything else? Cold showers, decluttering your environment, organizing your tasks, and so on — they’re all important, no doubt. But most of these activities rely on the foundation set by the “big three” habits mentioned above.

Why? Because when I miss even one of these essentials, my energy plummets, and completing my tasks feels like an uphill battle.

Finding Your Own Triad of Habits

So, how can you identify your own triad of habits? Start by asking yourself:

• What are the non-negotiables that keep you grounded?

• If you didn’t achieve anything else “productive” in a day, what habits would still leave you feeling fulfilled and happy?

These are the habits that form the backbone of your well-being. Honouring them might just unlock your most efficient, joyful, and productive self.
